What this tool does
Bandcamp Track Downloader saves a streamable Bandcamp track to your device as an MP3, so you can listen to it offline. Paste a track link, pick a quality, and download -- no account, no browser extension, and no Bandcamp login required.
How It Works
When you paste a link, the server resolves the track's public streaming format (the same one Bandcamp's own embed player requests) using yt-dlp, an open-source media resolver, and lists the audio stream available without logging in. When you press Download, the server fetches that stream and relays it straight back to your browser as a file attachment -- it is never saved on the server in between.
Problems it solves
- Saving a track for offline listening somewhere a streaming player is not practical, like a flight or an area with no signal.
- Getting a track as a plain MP3 file to import into another audio tool or a DJ set.
- Avoiding a browser extension or desktop app just to save one track.
Frequently asked questions
›Is this legal?
It depends on the track and your local law. This tool only retrieves the same public streaming audio Bandcamp already sends to any browser that presses play on a track with streaming enabled -- it does not unlock tracks the artist has disabled streaming for, and it does not access the paid "Buy Digital Track" file. Saving audio for personal, offline listening is a long-standing legal gray area in most places rather than something clearly settled either way, so use your own judgment, and consider buying the track directly from the artist if you plan to keep it.
›Why is the audio quality 128kbps instead of the purchased file?
Bandcamp streams tracks to its public embed player at 128kbps MP3 by default. The purchasable file -- often lossless or a higher-bitrate MP3 -- is only available after buying the track through Bandcamp's own "Buy Digital Track" flow, which directly pays the artist. This tool does not access that file.
›Why did fetching fail for my link?
The artist may have disabled streaming for that track, the track may be unreleased or deleted, or Bandcamp may be rate-limiting automated requests at that moment. Reopen the track on Bandcamp, confirm it still plays there, copy the link again, and try once more after a short wait.
›Does this work for Bandcamp albums?
No, paste the link to one individual track page at a time. Album pages are not supported.
