What this tool does
This tool adds (or subtracts) a number of business days to a start date, automatically skipping weekends, and optionally skipping specific holiday dates you list, to find the resulting date.
Beyond the resulting date, it shows the day of the week, the total number of calendar days spanned, and exactly how many weekend days (and holidays, if any were listed) were skipped along the way, so the calculation is fully transparent rather than a single opaque answer.

- Finding a deadline that's a set number of working days from today, like a "5 business days to respond" requirement.
- Calculating an estimated delivery or processing date that only counts business days.
- Working backward from a deadline to find the latest business day you could start a task.

Frequently asked questions
›Does the starting date count as one of the business days?
No. The starting date is just the reference point, counting begins from the next day. Adding 1 business day to a Monday gives you Tuesday, not Monday itself, matching how "add N business days" is conventionally understood.
›What counts as a weekend?
Saturday and Sunday are always treated as non-business days and skipped automatically, this matches the standard Monday-through-Friday business week used in most countries. If your work week is different, you'd need to manually account for that.
›How do I exclude public holidays too?
Add each holiday date, one per line, in YYYY-MM-DD format, to the holidays field. Any date listed there is skipped in addition to weekends, so a business day count correctly jumps over both.
›Can I subtract business days instead of adding them?
Yes, enter a negative number, entering -5, for example, finds the date 5 business days before your start date, going backward and still skipping weekends (and any listed holidays) the same way.
›What if my start date itself falls on a weekend or holiday?
That's fine, it's still used as the reference point exactly as entered, the calculation simply starts counting business days from there. The start date itself is never counted as a "skipped" day since it isn't a day the calculation moves through, it's where it begins.
