What this tool does
Write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in three separate panels and see them combined into a single live preview that updates as you type, with a one-click download of the result as a standalone HTML file.
How It Works
The tool assembles a complete HTML document from your three panels (CSS wrapped in a style tag, your HTML in the body, your JavaScript in a script tag at the end), and loads that document into a sandboxed iframe using the srcdoc attribute. The sandbox allows scripts to run but blocks the preview from accessing this page's DOM, cookies, or storage, so your code runs in a realistic but isolated browser environment.
Problems it solves
- Quickly testing an HTML snippet, CSS rule, or small script without creating local files.
- Prototyping a small page or UI idea and exporting it as a working HTML file.
- Demonstrating or sharing a self-contained code example that someone else can paste in and run instantly.
Frequently asked questions
›Is it safe to run untrusted JavaScript in the preview?
The preview runs inside a sandboxed iframe with scripts allowed but same-origin access disabled, so code in the preview cannot read or modify this page, your cookies, or your local storage. It can still, within that sandbox, run JavaScript freely, open alert boxes, or make network requests, the same as any other webpage, so still treat any code you paste in from an untrusted source the way you would treat running it in a fresh browser tab.
›How are the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript panels combined?
The tool wraps your CSS in a <style> tag inside the document head, places your HTML directly in the body, and appends your JavaScript in a <script> tag at the end of the body, exactly like a typical single-page HTML document, then loads that combined document into the preview.
›Can I download what I built as a real file?
Yes, the "Download as .html" button saves the exact same combined document shown in the preview as a single index.html file, ready to open directly in a browser or upload to a web server.
›Does the preview update automatically as I type?
Yes, the preview refreshes automatically a short moment after you stop typing in any of the three panels, so you can see the effect of your changes without clicking a separate run button.
›Why doesn't console.log output appear anywhere on the page?
The preview is a real, isolated browser document, so console.log output goes to that document's own console, not to this page. Open your browser's developer tools and select the preview iframe's context to see console output, or use alert() for a quick visible check instead.
