What this tool does

PearVideo Downloader saves a public video from PearVideo to your device, so you can watch it offline. Paste a video link and download -- no account, no browser extension, and no PearVideo login required.

How It Works

When you paste a link, the server resolves the video's available formats using yt-dlp, an open-source media resolver, and lists the quality available without logging in. When you press Download, the server fetches that stream and relays it straight back to your browser as a download -- it is deleted from the server the moment it finishes sending.

Problems it solves

How to Download

  1. 1 Copy the video link -- open the video on PearVideo and copy its link from the address bar or the Share button.
  2. 2 Paste and fetch -- paste the link and press Fetch Video to load its title and thumbnail.
  3. 3 Save the video -- press Download and follow your browser's prompt.

Key Features

Limitations & Availability

  • Deleted or removed videos are not reachable, even if a link to them still circulates.
  • Only one quality is available -- PearVideo's public pages expose a single file, not a ladder of resolutions.
  • A generated download link expires -- fetch the video again if it stops working.

Troubleshooting

›Fetching fails even for a public video

Reopen the video on pearvideo.com to confirm it still plays, then try again after a short wait.

›Link points to the homepage or a channel instead of a video

Make sure the link opens a single video directly, in the "video_" URL format -- a channel or category page has nothing for this tool to fetch.

›Download fails

Try again after a short wait, or fetch the video again to refresh the link.

Frequently asked questions

›Is this legal?

It depends on the video and your local law. This tool only retrieves the same public video PearVideo already sends to any browser that loads a public video page -- it does not unlock deleted or removed content. PearVideo's own terms technically restrict third-party downloading, though enforcement against personal, occasional use is weak and there is a large market of similar tools. You should still respect the original publisher's rights, especially for anything you plan to reuse or republish.

›Why did fetching fail for my link?

The video may be deleted or removed, or the link may point to the homepage, a channel, or a category page instead of a single video. Reopen the video on pearvideo.com, confirm it still plays there, copy the link again, and try once more.

›Why is there only one quality option?

PearVideo's public video pages serve a single video file rather than a ladder of resolutions, so there is only one option to choose from, unlike some other platforms this site supports.

›Does this tool translate the video's title or content?

No, this tool only downloads the video file itself. Titles and descriptions are shown exactly as PearVideo publishes them, usually in Chinese.

Respecting Creators

PearVideo is a Chinese news-video studio rather than an open creator platform, so most clips are produced in-house rather than uploaded by independent creators. Save clips for personal use or reference, and avoid passing off someone else's reporting as your own.
