What this tool does

Medal.tv Clip Downloader saves a public gaming clip from Medal.tv to your device, so you can watch it offline. Paste a clip link, pick a quality, and download -- no account, no browser extension, and no Medal.tv login required.

How It Works

When you paste a link, the server resolves the clip's available formats using yt-dlp, an open-source media resolver, and lists the qualities available without logging in. When you press Download, the server fetches that stream and relays it straight back to your browser as a download -- it is deleted from the server the moment it finishes sending.

Problems it solves

How to Download

  1. 1 Copy the clip link -- open the clip on Medal.tv and copy its link from the address bar or the Share button.
  2. 2 Paste and fetch -- paste the link and press Fetch Clip to load its title and available qualities.
  3. 3 Pick a quality -- choose a resolution from the list.
  4. 4 Save the clip -- press Download and follow your browser's prompt.

Key Features

Limitations & Availability

  • Private clips and clips restricted to a specific group are not reachable, even if you can view them in your own signed-in session.
  • A generated download link expires -- fetch the clip again if it stops working.

Troubleshooting

›Fetching fails even for a public clip

Medal.tv can rate-limit automated requests -- reopen the clip on medal.tv to confirm it still plays, then try again after a short wait.

›Only one quality option appears

This is normal -- some clips are only stored at one quality to begin with.

›Download fails for a long clip

Try again after a short wait, or fetch the clip again to refresh the link.

Frequently asked questions

›Is this legal?

It depends on the clip and your local law. This tool only retrieves the same public clip Medal.tv already sends to any browser that loads a public clip page -- it does not unlock private or restricted content. Medal.tv's own terms technically restrict third-party downloading, though enforcement against personal, occasional use is weak and there is a large market of similar tools. You should still respect the original creator's rights, especially for anything you plan to reuse or republish.

›Why did fetching fail for my link?

The clip may be private, restricted to a specific group, deleted, or Medal.tv may be rate-limiting automated requests at that moment. Reopen the clip on medal.tv, confirm it still plays there, copy the link again, and try once more after a short wait.

›Why do some clips only offer one quality?

Medal.tv doesn't always generate a full set of resolutions for every upload -- some clips, particularly shorter or older ones, are only stored at a single quality to begin with.

›Does this work for Medal.tv montages as well as clips?

Yes, as long as the montage has its own public page with a link, the same way a regular clip does.

Respecting Creators

Medal.tv creators build a following and earn through the platform's own creator programs. Save clips for personal use or reference, credit the original creator if you repost anything, and avoid passing off someone else's clip as your own.
