What this tool does

LinkedIn Video Downloader saves a public video post from LinkedIn to your device, so you can watch it offline. Paste a post link, pick a quality, and download -- no account, no browser extension, and no LinkedIn login required.

How It Works

When you paste a link, the server resolves the post's available formats using yt-dlp, an open-source media resolver, and lists the qualities available without logging in. When you press Download, the server fetches that stream and relays it straight back to your browser as a download -- it is deleted from the server the moment it finishes sending.

Problems it solves

How to Download

  1. 1 Copy the post link -- open the post on LinkedIn and copy its link from the address bar or the Share button.
  2. 2 Paste and fetch -- paste the link and press Fetch Video to load its title and available qualities.
  3. 3 Pick a quality -- choose an option from the list.
  4. 4 Save the video -- press Download and follow your browser's prompt.

Key Features

Limitations & Availability

  • Posts visible only to connections or a specific audience are not reachable, even if you can view them in your own signed-in session.
  • A generated download link expires -- fetch the video again if it stops working.

Troubleshooting

›Fetching fails even for a public post

Reopen the post on linkedin.com to confirm it still plays, then try again after a short wait.

›Only one quality option appears

This is normal -- some posts are only stored at one quality to begin with.

›Download fails

Try again after a short wait, or fetch the post again to refresh the link.

Frequently asked questions

›Is this legal?

It depends on the post and your local law. This tool only retrieves the same public post LinkedIn already sends to any browser that loads a public post page -- it does not unlock content restricted to connections or a specific audience. LinkedIn's own terms technically restrict third-party downloading, though enforcement against personal, occasional use is weak and there is a large market of similar tools. You should still respect the original creator's rights, especially for anything you plan to reuse or republish.

›Why did fetching fail for my link?

The post may be restricted to connections or a specific audience, deleted, or the link may point to a profile or company page instead of a single post. Reopen the post on linkedin.com, confirm it still plays there, copy the link again, and try once more.

›Why do some posts only offer one quality?

LinkedIn doesn't always generate a full set of resolutions for every upload -- some videos, particularly older or lower-traffic ones, are only stored at a single quality to begin with.

›Does this work for LinkedIn Learning videos too?

No -- LinkedIn Learning courses are paid, access-controlled content, a different category from public feed posts. This tool only works on public LinkedIn posts.

Respecting Creators

LinkedIn creators build a following through engagement on the platform itself, often to support their professional profile or business. Save videos for personal use or reference, credit the original creator if you repost anything, and avoid passing off someone else's content as your own.
